I am already getting home care services through Alberta Health Services. Can I get private physiotherapy services?

We do not receive funding from Alberta health services therefore we do not provide free services. If you are home bound for any reason and unable to access community Physiotherapy Clinics, then you could be eligible for Home Care Services offered by Alberta Health Services. You may check with Alberta health services and access those services. We also do not treat clients already seen by or eligible to get home care services through Alberta Health Services. However, if you want services over and above services offered by Alberta Health Services then we would be able to help you. If you still have any questions, feel free to contact us.

Do I need Physician’s referral for making appointment?

No. You can directly see your Physiotherapist anywhere within Canada. Legally physiotherapists are authorized to see directly and it is not mandatory to have Physician’s referral. Physiotherapists are listed primary health care provider, highly skilled and competent to do assessment, physiotherapy diagnosis and plan treatment program. If required, Physiotherapists can make appropriate referral to other healthcare providers after consulting with you, in your best interest.
